Run pickleball social play without a facility

When this model fits

CourtBeam events are a good fit for pickleball clubs built around recurring social play rather than a permanent venue. Publish each session at the place you have arranged for that date, whether that is a partner club, hired sports hall, park, or shared court booking.

Keep the event focused on the player experience: who it is for, what kind of play to expect, how many places are available, and what happens if the session fills up.

Set up the club

   Create the club with pickleball as the primary sport; you do not need to add owned courts to publish an event.

   Open Events and add the session date, start and end time, venue name, full address, and local time zone.

   Add arrival instructions, parking or access notes, equipment guidance, and a contact method for questions.

   Set capacity, price, payment method, attendee-list visibility, waitlist behavior, and the cancellation deadline.

   Preview the public event page, then share the event link in your community channels.

Run each session

• Use the confirmed roster as the source of truth for who has a place.
• Check the waitlist position before offering a newly opened place.
• Send or repeat the venue and arrival details before play starts.
• Use the event record to check participants in and keep attendance clear for your team.

Keep payments and cancellations clear

If the session is paid, connect Stripe for online checkout or explicitly allow payment at the venue. State the cancellation deadline in the event details—for example, 24 hours before start—and apply the same outcome consistently when a player cancels or the club changes the session.

For a club-initiated cancellation, notify registered players, cancel the event, and follow the configured refund approach so players know where their money will go.
